Everest Staff Picks Their Favorite Watches of 2024

With the holiday season upon us, we at Everest are reflecting on our favorite watch releases of 2024. It's been an exciting year for the world of watches (to say the least), and there have been some exceptional releases thus far. Before getting into our picks, I'd like to remind you that we're running special holiday offers for everyone on our email list; join up to make the most of this holiday season!

George — Tudor Pelagos FXD GMT ‘Zulu Time’

The Tudor Pelagos FXD GMT ‘Zulu Time’ is my favorite watch of 2024 because it perfectly balances rugged functionality with both military and vintage inspiration. Everything element of this design is purposeful, from the beige lume plots to the ‘Aéronautique Navale’ insignia inscribed on the caseback. Thanks to the watch’s new caliber MT5652-U, it’s thinner than the original time-only Pelagos, even with the added GMT functionality. And of course, being a Pelagos FXD, this isn’t just a watch; it’s a tool built for adventure. The FXD GMT stands out in a year full of impressive releases, showcasing Tudor’s commitment to utility, style, and listening to their audience.

If you have this watch or any other Tudor Pelagos FXD, be sure to check out our selection of single-pass and NATO-style nylon straps; they'll make the perfect addition to your FXD's wardrobe.

Mike – Rolex GMT Master II 126710 ‘Pepsi’

Rolex GMT-Master II 'Pepsi'

My favorite watch of 2024 is the Rolex GMT Master II 126710 ‘Pepsi’. I know what you’re thinking – or saying out loud – “That watch was released in 2018, what is Mike talking about?” I am saying this because the red-and-blue ‘Pepsi’ GMT Master II has been rumored to be on the chopping block for years, with the beginning of this year seeming like the model’s definite demise.

The team and I were in Switzerland at Watches and Wonders (the tradeshow that Rolex is a part of to show off their latest releases) in April of this year. Approaching the show, one of the more common predictions was that Rolex was going to drop the ‘Pepsi’ like third-period French. But did they? I think not!

So, I am going to first thank Rolex for not killing the ‘Pepsi’ and second bend some rules of this blog regarding the release date of “my favorite watch of 2024.” Without a doubt, it is the Rolex GMT Master II Pepsi. It’s an iconic, gorgeous Rolex that cannot be matched. I love it and to be honest, I finally “got the call” for this baby a few weeks back. I cannot take it off my wrist; it easily could be the “one-Rolex collection” for this Everest guy.

Theresa — Tudor Black Bay Chrono ‘Pink’

Tudor Black Bay Chrono 'Pink'

I love the Tudor Black Bay Chrono ‘Pink’ not just because of the hype surrounding its release, but because pink is such an underrated neutral color. It’s bold yet versatile, making it a standout choice for almost anyone. I especially appreciate how this watch challenges traditional gender norms in watch design. Seeing men embrace pink is fantastic, and I also love how women can confidently wear what some might call 'men’s-sized' watches. To me, watches are universal, and the Black Bay Chrono ‘Pink’ captures that idea perfectly: a timeless piece that anyone can rock.

If you own this watch or any other Tudor Black Bay Chrono, check out our Curved-End rubber strap for the model; it perfectly fits the case and lugs, providing a seamless, OEM look and feel.

Skyler — Rolex GMT-Master II 126710GRNR ‘Bruce Wayne’

Rolex GMT-Master II 126710GRNR

My favorite watch of 2024 is the Rolex GMT-Master II ‘Bruce Wayne.’ While it’s still a hard-to-get model, I appreciate how Rolex positioned it as the 'entry point' to the modern GMT-Master II line. It’s understated, with a sleek black-and-grey bezel and a green GMT hand that nods to the all-black-bezel GMT-Master II 116710. Plus, I feel (and so does Rolex, apparently) that the Jubilee bracelet simply belongs on the modern ceramic GMT. It’s a little blingier than models past, but that’s not a bad thing. For me, the quieter black-and-grey bezel insert makes for a perfect everyday watch.

Plus, our Curved End Rubber Straps For Rolex GMT-Master II 126710 fit this model guaranteed.
