Breaking Down Tudor's New Black Bay Chrono 'Flamingo Blue'
Tudor has just dropped another colorful addition to the Black Bay Chrono lineup: the ‘Flamingo Blue.’ It’s the third surprise release in the collection following last year’s Pink and Blue models, and it fits right into Tudor’s newly unveiled “Daring Watches” collection. Marked by the tagline “Exclusive Watches and Limited Editions”—it also includes last year’s Black Bay Ceramic Blue. While the Flamingo Blue isn’t officially limited, its exclusivity and branding suggest it won’t be widely available.
The Flamingo Blue vs. Chrono Pink
When the Flamingo Blue debuted, it sparked rumors that the Chrono Pink had been discontinued, as it temporarily disappeared from Tudor’s website. This turned out to be false. Both watches now exist side by side in the new “Daring Watches” collection.
A Nod to Miami, But No Inter Miami
The Flamingo Blue arrives with clear ties to Miami, even if Tudor stops short of an official collaboration with Inter Miami, the soccer team co-owned by brand ambassador David Beckham. Tudor describes the watch as embodying “the Miami South Beach vibe,” and Beckham himself features prominently in the watch’s promotional materials. However, as confirmed by James Stacey, the watch isn’t explicitly linked to the team, leaving some wondering why the connection wasn’t made official.
A Fresh Take on the Black Bay Chrono

Like its Pink and Blue predecessors, and many other recent releases from Tudor, the Flamingo Blue features Tudor’s five-link bracelet with a T-Fit clasp. First introduced at Watches and Wonders 2023, this bracelet is a perfect fit for the Black Bay Chrono, and the T-fit clasp brings tool-free micro-adjustment making it great for daily wear.
The Flamingo Blue retains the same technical foundation as the other Black Bay Chronos, including the MT5813 movement, a vertical clutch column wheel chronograph movement based on Breitling’s B01 architecture. It’s COSC-certified, automatic, and features 70 hours of power reserve.
Extending the Chrono’s Lifespan

Tudor released the Black Bay Chrono in 2017, slimmed it down slightly in 2021, and gave it new colors (and a new bracelet) in 2024/2025. Aside from these iterations, the watch has stayed largely the same. This is no critique, mind you. The watch, now nearly eight years old, still holds its own as a versatile, high-performance chronograph. These bold dial updates, introduced in surprising, FOMO-inducing ways, help inject fresh energy into the lineup and appeal to a broader audience.
Final Thoughts
The Flamingo Blue Black Bay Chrono won’t be for everyone, but it doesn’t need to be. For those drawn to bold colors, or those who want to embody their inner Sonny Crockett and/or Rico Tubbs, this is yet another great offering from Tudor.
